Orlando Magic guard Anthony Black was named winner of the 2025-26 Rich & Helen DeVos Community Enrichment Award (CEA) Saturday night at the Orlando Wine Festival and Auction benefiting the Orlando Magic Youth Foundation (OMYF) held at the Four Seasons Resort Orlando. This is the first time Black has won the award. Finalists included Paolo Banchero, Wendell Carter Jr., Franz and Moritz Wagner.
Since 1995, the DeVos family has honored a player who has dedicated his efforts off the court for the purpose of enhancing other’s lives. A panel of representatives selects the player and based this year's selection on the last year of the player's community work. In addition to receiving the award, Black will be granted $20,000 from the DeVos Family Foundation for him to donate to the charity of his choice.
"Mom and Dad’s legacy continues to live on through the meaningful work of the entire Magic organization throughout Central Florida,” said Orlando Magic Chairman Dan DeVos. “This is especially evident in the dedication of our players, and we are proud to congratulate Anthony with this year’s honor for his care for this community and his ongoing commitment to especially serve, and assist, children and families across Orlando.”
Black has consistently volunteered his time off the court and to the Central Florida community and beyond, supporting the Magic’s mission to be World Champions on and off the court delivering legendary moments every step of the way. In addition to supporting the Magic’s programs, Black is committed to his AB Cares initiatives. Through AB Cares, Black has created multiple touchpoints and programs to positively impact the Central Florida community, while assisting the Orlando Magic Youth Foundation and the NBA in their community goals as well.
AB Cares was created by Anthony Black and his family as a way to give back to programs focused on sports-based mentorship and academic support. AB Cares strives to create a world where every life has the chance to shine with a bold vision to ignite transformation and to plant seeds of hope that will flourish for generations to come. AB Cares believes in the power of connection – to uplift, to transform, to empower and to heal. It is the glue that connects and unites people, resources and organizations with the communities that need them most, knowing that true change begins with collective action.
“The Magic’s commitment to the community is rooted in the leadership of our ownership group, the DeVos family,” said Orlando Magic President of Business Operations Charlie Freeman. “Their genuine passion for giving back sets the tone for our entire organization, from staff and coaches to our players. We are incredibly proud of the way our players serve the community off the court, and we congratulate Anthony for the meaningful and lasting impact he has made in Central Florida and beyond.”

The Orlando Magic and the DeVos family are committed to making a difference in Central Florida. Each year, the Magic gives more than $2 million to Central Florida by way of sponsorships of events, donated tickets, autographed merchandise and grants. At the heart of the Magic’s charitable efforts is the work done by the Orlando Magic Youth Foundation (OMYF).
The OMYF is committed to helping children in Central Florida realize their full potential, especially those most at-risk, by supporting nonprofit organizations offering youth-based programs in the areas of education, housing/homelessness, the arts and health programs focused on preventing childhood obesity.
The DeVos family recently showcased their ongoing commitment to the OMYF through a $400,000 pledge which encompassed all family stakeholders, including the third generation who are increasingly involved in the franchise. The gift underwrites the operational expenses of the foundation, ensuring that every dollar raised directly aids children who will benefit from its support.
In August 2025, the OMYF announced it will distribute grants totaling $1.6 million in five ways – a summer grant cycle, a winter grant cycle, microgrants, the Linda Landman Gonzalez Leadership Grant (LLG) and through professional development for grantees. Thus far, the summer grant cycle, winter grant cycle and a portion microgrants have been distributed (microgrants are distributed quarterly). This marks the 18th time the OMYF has distributed at least $1 million to the Central Florida community since OMYF's inception in 1990.
Over the last 36 years more than $31 million has been distributed to local nonprofit community organizations through the Magic’s foundation. The OMYF raises community dollars annually through donations, auctions and events such as the OMYF Open Golf Tournament and the Orlando Wine Festival and Auction.
The Magic’s signature fundraiser for the OMYF, the Orlando Wine Festival and Auction debuted in 2019, featuring a wine and food festival, live and e-auction; the event will culminate with an Orlando Magic game tomorrow (March 1 vs. Detroit Pistons). The weekend of fundraising events also included exclusive vintner dinners on Feb. 27 with the outdoor festival Feb. 28 featuring live music, live auction displays, local and celebrity chefs, wineries, and food pavilions, along with Magic players, coaches and legends.
