August's Good Morning Seminole Kicks Off New Chamber Year Right

The first Thursday of the month is always reserved for Good Morning Seminole, but the first Thursday of August was special.

This month, we featured a discussion on the new Tourism Improvement District, an effort by Seminole County government and the local tourism industry to grow our sports tourism industry.

Featuring a panel discussion led by well-known former Sentinel sports writer George Diaz, our attendees learned how this new effort will impact them.

Nearly 250 people came to hear our panel speak. This was the largest number of attendees at Good Morning Seminole since 2019 and our third-highest attended Good Morning Seminole since we revamped the program in 2016.

Plus, we had multiple media outlets join us and cover the event. Check out the WKMG News 6's story and the WESH 2 News story, both of which are found on our YouTube Channel.

Thank you to our panelists:

Make sure you block out your calendar for Good Morning Seminole. Over the next few months, we'll be hearing a panel on restaurants, meeting the founders of Wekiva Island, listening to the State's Attorney and Public Defender and learning about Seminole County's new transit initiative - Scout.

If you missed last week's Good Morning Seminole or any other Good Morning Seminole, you can listen to them on most podcast programs found on our ChamberCast page.
