Builders FirstSource Supports Habitat for Humanity Seminole-Apopka with $130,000 Donation and Volunteer Home Build

Habitat for Humanity Seminole–Apopka announced today a $130,000 contribution from Builders FirstSource (NYSE:BLDR), the nation’s largest supplier of building products and services to the professional market for new residential construction. The donation, which was facilitated through Florida’s Community Contribution Tax Credit Program, will support Habitat’s Florida program and help make affordable homeownership possible for families in Central Florida.

In addition to the financial contribution, Builders FirstSource (BFS) will partner with Habitat Seminole-Apopka to build a home at one of the organization’s Warren Sapp community homes on February 19. Members of the local BFS team and executive leadership will volunteer on site, working alongside Habitat staff and future homeowners to help bring the home to life.

“At Builders FirstSource, our commitment to people and safety extends beyond the workplace,” said Todd Vance, East Division President, Builders FirstSource. “We share Habitat for Humanity’s aspiration for everyone to have a safe place to live, and it’s an honor to work alongside the Habitat Seminole-Apopka team in building this home for a hardworking, Central Florida family.”

Penny Seater, CEO of Habitat for Humanity Seminole-Apopka, emphasized the importance of corporate partnerships in advancing Habitat’s mission. “Partnerships like this are critical to expanding access to safe, affordable housing in our community,” Seater said. “Builders FirstSource’s generosity, both through their financial support and their willingness to show up and build alongside us, demonstrates what’s possible when mission-driven organizations and industry leaders work together.”

The build coincides with the 2026 NAHB International Builders' Show taking place in Central Florida this week, bringing BFS leaders to the region and creating an opportunity for hands-on community engagement. During the event, Builders FirstSource will also preview a proprietary visualization system designed to help communities and developers better plan and enable home requirements, offering media a look at emerging tools shaping the future of residential construction.
