The GFWC Lake Mary Woman’s Club members’ diverse projects and outreach are commendable. Since 1962, the Club has worked with community partners in many facets of service. The past few weeks have found members collecting over $500 of school supplies for the Tools 4 Seminole Schools program. The county distributes the supplies and classroom materials to help alleviate the burden on teachers who often have to spend their own money for classroom materials.
The annual Halloween Spooktacular the City of Lake Mary hosts is a family-friendly Halloween festival with trick-or-treating, attractions, food, and costume wear. This is the 5th year the Lake Mary Woman’s Club has had a booth distributing books and bookmarks… and yes, candy for over 600 children that stopped by to select books and treats!
