Ever wondered what it took to cook Spätzle? Did you question whether the Black Forest Cakes are truly homemade? What about the meaning behind the placement of the sash on the drindl dress?
Find out all of this and much more this week as Seminole County Chamber's Rebekah Arthur goes behind the scenes of Hollerbach's German Restaurant.
"What the guests see is such a small part of what we do here at the restaurant," says Hollerbach's Christina Hollerbach. "Our hours are 11 a.m. - 9 or 10 p.m. on Friday and Saturday, but we are open almost 24 hours with our staff, as it takes a lot of people to get this done."
During this episode, you'll get to see Rebekah take on jobs at Hollerbach's like:
- Cleaning the wash stations for mobile food trucks and events.
- Setting up the dining room - including mopping the floors.
- Taking the beer deliveries.
- Preparing a variety of dishes for the day.
"It's amazing what happens before the doors open," Arthur says. "One of the things that makes Hollerbach's so special is the community behind the scenes, like different breweries and farms that support them."
