The City of Longwood is excited to announce a special three-day event where the community can come together to spread joy and love to hospitalized children across the nation. Longwood City Hall will serve as both a creative workshop and a drop-off station for handmade Valentine’s Day cards for Cards for Hospitalized Kids, an internationally recognized charitable organization that delivers hope, joy, and magic to kids in hospitals through uplifting cards.
Event Details:
Location: Longwood City Hall, 175 W Warren Ave, Longwood, FL
Dates: January 27 – January 29, 2025
Hours: 8:30 AM – 4:30 PM daily
Cards Mailed: January 30, 2025
How to Participate:
Residents and City team members are invited to visit City Hall during the event dates (1/27-1-29) to create personalized Valentine’s Day cards for hospitalized children. All supplies, including paper, markers, stickers, and more, will be provided. If you prefer to create cards at home, simply bring your completed cards to City Hall during the event window for collection.
Once completed, all cards will be sent (1/30) to Cards for Hospitalized Kids, an organization that distributes them to children’s hospitals and Ronald McDonald Houses across the country. These handmade cards provide encouragement, positivity, and a sense of connection for children who are facing medical challenges.
