Classes Begin at Seminole State College On Aug. 25

Classes at Seminole State College of Florida begin Monday, Aug. 25, welcoming both new and returning students. This fall also marks the College’s 60th Anniversary, celebrating six decades of transforming lives through education, innovation, and service to the Central Florida community.
 
Seminole State has grown from a small community college into a dynamic, four-campus institution serving more than 24,000 students annually. With programs spanning from associate degrees to bachelor's degrees and workforce certifications, Seminole State continues to be a driving force for economic development and opportunity in the region.

With the Fall Term beginning Aug. 25, Seminole State encourages new and returning students to take a few proactive steps to start strong. Planning ahead and understanding key College resources can help reduce stress and keep students on track toward their academic goals.

12-Week Enrollment
 
Seminole State offers several options to start classes. Consider Seminole State’s 12-Week Session, running Sept. 15 through Dec. 13. Students can apply and register for a wide range of accelerated courses designed to keep their higher education journey on track. The application deadline is Sept. 8.
 
Looking ahead, Dr. Lorenz is spearheading a new strategic plan set to launch in the 2025–2026
academic year, focused on building lasting connections with students and community members. The goal is to serve as a trusted partner throughout every stage of the college and
career journey.
