Free Training to Become an Elected Official

If you are a member of our chamber and are thinking about running for office this year or in the future, we have an opportunity for you.

Each year, we partner with chambers throughout the state to help the Florida Chamber's Florida Institute for Political Leadership. It's a free course to help individuals who are interested in running for office at all levels of government.

Now, more than ever, we need pro-business individuals to step up and lead, to help pass laws and ordinances that help us create jobs and grow our economy. We're lucky in Seminole County that our elected leaders work with the business community on issues, but that's not the case everywhere.

The FIPL Campaign School & Leadership Trainings provide a comprehensive briefing on emerging local and state issues, teach attendees about local opportunities available for appointed or elected positions, offer guidance on how to prepare to run for office in the future, and provide training on how to run winning campaigns.

Presenters include state and local political experts, elected officials, university professors, and community leaders.
