Get An Exclusive Look Into Opera Orlando’s Sparkling And Magical Operatic Take On Cinderella

Steinmetz Hall transforms into an enchanting fairytale kingdom February 7 and 9 as Opera Orlando presents Massenet’s Cendrillon, a gorgeous French retelling of the classic Cinderella story. Magic can happen anywhere, and dreams really do come true in this grand, all-new production full of love, laughter, and spectacular music featuring the Orlando Philharmonic Orchestra, dancers from Orlando Ballet, and the Opera Orlando Chorus and Youth Company. This grand, lavish production will be quite the event this February. Learn all about it, and get an insider look into Cinderella’s world by attending the Opera’s More of the MainStage events leading up to opening night.

“Massenet’s version of Cinderella is equal parts frothy frivolity and pure heart. It is the perfect opera for everyone, from kids who believe in magic to adults who root for true love. This limited run of performances will be something special,” states artistic director Grant Preisser. “We have a stellar cast for this production, featuring not one but three Metropolitan Opera singers. Opera Orlando fans won’t want to miss our More of the MainStage events, offering a unique opportunity to connect with our artists, explore the rehearsal process, and get an exclusive behind-the-scenes look at how this fairy tale will come to life on stage in Steinmetz Hall.”
