Kim Dove Joins Seminole State as Executive Director of Facilities Management

SANFORD, Fla. (May 10, 2024) – As the newly appointed executive director of Facilities Management at Seminole State College of Florida, Kim Dove brings a wealth of experience and expertise to the role, cultivated through a distinguished career marked by leadership, innovation and a relentless pursuit of excellence.
In her new role, Dove is responsible for overseeing plant operations, new construction, renovation and maintenance of college buildings and properties. This pivotal role underscores Dove's leadership in facilities management and her commitment to advancing the college's infrastructure and operational excellence.
With significant tenure in key leadership positions, including director of Facilities Services at Seminole County Public Schools (SCPS) and roles within the Department of Health (DOH), Dove has demonstrated an exceptional ability to drive organizational success and effect positive change. At SCPS, Dove oversaw a diverse team and managed an operating budget exceeding $38 million, implementing strategic initiatives that optimized resources and improved service quality. Notably, Dove spearheaded the restructuring of the Facilities Services department, resulting in streamlined operations and heightened customer satisfaction.
Dove’s tenure within the DOH further enriched her leadership acumen and operational expertise. As a registered sanitarian, she played a pivotal role in overseeing critical environmental health programs and ensuring regulatory compliance, thereby instrumental in enhancing public health outcomes and fostering community well-being. Additionally, Dove’s service in the United States Air Force instilled a strong sense of discipline, integrity and teamwork, values that continue to inform her leadership approach.
Dove's deep-rooted commitment to excellence, coupled with a proven track record of success across multiple sectors, and recent completion of an MBA from the University of Central Florida, significantly enhance her strategic acumen and readiness to lead Seminole State College’s Facilities Management team to continued successes.
