Milton Update from AdventHealth in FL

Here are some updates on AdventHealth’s facilities in Florida following Hurricane Milton:
 
·         All of AdventHealth’s 30 hospitals in Florida, which employ 70,000 team members, were impacted by the path of Hurricane Milton.
·         Throughout the storm, AdventHealth’s care teams delivered dozens of babies and performed critical surgeries. 
·         Thanks to the swift and coordinated efforts of our dedicated team members, AdventHealth was able to care for all patients safely.
·         Our staffing models ensured we had ample team members and physicians, including specialists, at hospitals across Florida.
·         Cleanup activities are underway for any minimal damage sustained at our facilities in Florida. 
·         Nearly all AdventHealth facilities in Florida have transitioned off generator power and returned to their regular power sources.
·         AdventHealth’s Emergency Departments are fully prepared for the expected uptick in visits they are currently experiencing.
·         Throughout the storm, AdventHealth has offered complimentary video visits with a medical provider for patients in Florida through 8 p.m. today (Thursday) with the use of the code “Milton.”

"I’m so inspired by our leaders and our team members because the heart of their service really is pronounced in times of crisis. It’s the times where they leave their own families, their own children, and come into the hospital so they can serve others."
 
"There were some blown-out windows in places. There was some flooding in places, but overall our facilities came through well because of the people that are dedicated and showing up every day to make sure that we can provide great care at AdventHealth."
 
“As soon as the roads are clear, please be careful, but please make your way in to seek the care that is needed. It is a scary time, but I will tell you that all our facilities are open. We are seeing increased volumes after the storm."
