Optimus Energy Solutions Launches Winter Park Mobility Hub

With government funding for electric vehicle charging infrastructure ending, Optimus Energy Solutions is showing how communities can still meet the rising demand for charging stations.

This month, the company launched another mobility hub, a bank of seven DC Fast electric vehicle chargers co-located with rideshare pickup. The center is in the parking lot servicing SunRail and Amtrak a block from Park Ave. 

“The demand for electric vehicle charging is not going away and the market will need to figure out how to provide these services,” says Ben Pauluhn, President & founder, Optimus Energy Solutions. “This model meets this demand without using tax dollars or ratepayer dollars to build.”

Under the terms of the agreement, Optimus Energy Solutions provided all equipment and installation services for the mobility hub, plus the company will operate and maintain the chargers for the next 10 years, ensuring best-in-class uptime and reliability. Users will pay the market rate to charge their vehicles. 

The city provided the parking spaces for the program to support the Park Ave District.  With this agreement, Optimus Energy Solutions now has 29 charging plugs in Winter Park that it operates. 

The program is in partnership with ChargePoint, one of the nation’s largest and oldest charging manufacturers.
