I’m not going to sugarcoat it. Our organization was put to the test over the last few months with so many people needing to find shelter from the weather.
Through it all, we helped hundreds of people when they needed us most.
We could not have done this without an extraordinary effort from our staff, our volunteers, and our supporters. All of us here are thankful for everyone who stepped up.
It's time to look forward, however, and we have two major events coming up in April that I hope to see you at. These events provide the funding we need to help those in our community experiencing homelessness.
It's A Pizza Party For Rescue Outreach Mission
On April 7, we're taking over Bronx House Pizza in Lake Mary again. It's rare to find a business that is willing to give 100% of all sales to a nonprofit like ours, but that's what Bronx House does time and time again, and we need your help to make sure this one is the best ever.
Of course, you can eat dinner or lunch on that day at Bronx House Pizza, but I encourage you to think bigger. Maybe you could deliver pizzas to all of your clients. Maybe you could treat your staff to a great lunch. Why not invite your extended family for a pizza party that night? Don’t forget to purchase gift cards to use throughout the year.
Every dollar you spend at Bronx House Pizza in Lake Mary on April 7 helps somebody have a safe shelter while they work to find a new home.
Join us in Havana!
Then, on April 25, join us at Rescue on the Runway.
This signature event has been building into one of the best and most fun events you will find in Seminole County. This year, we're moving the event to the runway, not the river, and transporting you to Havana in the 1940s.
Experience wonderful Cuban cuisine, Latin music, casino games, and much more, all while you're helping out Seminole County neighbors.
Click the link here and register today. Thank you to Wharton Smith for stepping up again as the title sponsor of this event, and for all the corporate sponsors who have agreed to be a part of Rescue on the Runway 2026.
As always, thank you for your support of Rescue Outreach Mission and your willingness to help your neighbors in need.
Sincerely,
Chris Ham
Executive Director
