Rebekah Arthur Named to Sports Commission Advisory Board

As one of Central Florida's largest chambers of commerce, the Seminole County Chamber prides itself on being a part of regional efforts for economic development.

Last week, our CEO & president, Rebekah Arthur was named to the advisory board of the Greater Orlando Sports Commission, the regional organization that works to attract amateur sporting events to Seminole County and the rest of Central Florida.

"The Greater Orlando Sports Commission has shown time and time again their impact on our economy and our membership through bringing sporting events to our region," Arthur says. "It's an honor to be invited to join this organization to share the voice of Seminole County businesses with our region."

Founded in 1992-93, the organization has hosted or co-hosted more than 1,660 events in the Greater Orlando area with a total economic impact exceeding $3.3 billion in spending within the community.

"Seminole County has always invested in our mission as a key partner for our organization and, with their future plans, they will be among one of the top destinations for sporting events in the country," says Jason Siegel, president & CEO, Greater Orlando Sports Commission. "The Seminole County Chamber will play a significant role in those efforts and we are looking forward to working with Rebekah in this capacity."

Since being named president & CEO in 2023, Arthur has worked to ensure Seminole County is represented throughout Florida. She currently sits on the boards of Business Force, Leadership Seminole and the Florida Association of Chamber Professionals, where she serves as the regional chair.
