Rescue Outreach Mission Featured on Check Your 6 Podcast

After hearing Chris Ham talk about homelessness in Seminole County, Tim Proctor of GRP Studios invited Chris to expand on the Check Your 6 podcast.

The result was a wide-ranging discussion on Rescue Outreach Mission, how businesses and individuals can help and how the issue impacts our community.

“I’m extremely grateful to Tim for giving us the platform to talk in-depth about this very challenging issue,” Ham says. “The more opportunities to show how homelessness affects all of us, the more it will make a difference in how we work to help our neighbors.”

The session also enables listeners to understand why Chris is so passionate about the issue and why he’s dedicated his life to helping Rescue Outreach Mission grow. As a former Presbyterian minister, he sees this as a way to carry out his faith.

He emphasizes in the podcast how easy it is for anyone to experience homelessness due to incidents outside of our control. For instance, a medical issue can cause someone to lose a job, their health insurance and eventually their housing.

“By the grace of God, most of us have not had those types of experiences that cause someone to experience homelessness,” Ham shared on the podcast.
