Last month, Rescue Outreach Mission was thrilled to accept a three-year gift from the Big Nova Foundation. This gift, valued at $1 million over the next three years, is aimed at significantly enhancing the organization's case management programs.
Rescue Outreach Mission works with more than 750 people experiencing homelessness every year. Time and again, the key to ending their experience is meticulous and robust case management programs, focused on providing the tools, support and education needed to restart a life.
Those who follow the steps outlined in their case management program have a significantly higher chance of ending their cycles of homelessness.
The shelter is full nearly every night, and there are so many more men, women and children in our community who need help. The more efficient Rescue Outreach Mission is with case management, the quicker our guests can find housing. That results in the organization helping even more people in our community.
Big Nova is a local foundation founded by the Moore family, which has been rooted in Central Florida for six generations for nearly 100 years. From 1969-1984, Lee P Moore served as the mayor of Sanford, which cemented a family legacy of giving back to others.
In 2023, the Moore family decided to formalize their commitment to their community through the formation of the Big Nova Foundation.
Thank you to Big Nova Foundation for caring about Seminole County and truly making a difference.
