Vicky Countess of Vicky Countess Coaching is inviting women to rethink what they’ve been told about bone density—and discover a more empowering, science-informed approach to strengthening their bones at any age.
A common concern among women is the question: “Why do I have low bone density?”
Many assume the answer is simply aging, menopause, or genetics. However, Countess emphasizes that bone health is far more dynamic—and far more hopeful—than most realize.
“Bone loss doesn’t happen overnight,” says Countess. “It reflects how your body has been supported over time. The encouraging truth is that the same factors contributing to bone loss are also the ones that can help rebuild and strengthen bones starting today.”
In her upcoming free online workshop on April 16 at 11:00 AM ET, Countess will break down the key drivers of bone health and what women can do to take control of their outcomes.
A Broader Understanding of Bone Health
Countess explains that while peak bone mass is typically reached in a woman’s late 20s to early 30s, bone is living tissue that continuously remodels. This means it can respond and adapt to supportive habits at any stage of life.
Hormonal changes—particularly the decline in estrogen during perimenopause and menopause—do play a role in bone loss. However, Countess notes that hormones are only part of the equation.
“They often accelerate patterns that already exist,” she explains, adding that some women may benefit from discussing options such as bioidentical hormone replacement therapy (BHRT) with their healthcare provider as part of a broader health strategy.
Daily Habits Matter More Than You Think
According to Countess, everyday behaviors send powerful signals to the body that influence whether bone is built or lost. These include nutrition, movement, strength training, impact activities, stress levels, and recovery.
“These aren’t just lifestyle choices—they are biological instructions,” says Countess. “They determine how your bones respond.”
Despite this, many women are only given limited guidance, often focused narrowly on calcium intake or DEXA scan results. Countess believes this incomplete picture leaves many feeling frustrated and stuck.
What the Workshop Will Cover
During the April 16 session, attendees will learn:
- Why DEXA scores don’t tell the whole story
- How daily habits directly impact bone strength
- Why building muscle and preventing falls are critical components of bone health
- Key factors that are often overlooked in traditional bone health advice
Countess’s goal is to provide clarity, direction, and actionable steps so women can move forward with confidence.
