FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Orlando Sanford International Airport Hosts Central Florida Veterans with Two April Honor Flights

Sanford, FL — Monday, April 6, 2026 — Orlando Sanford International Airport (SFB) proudly reaffirms its long-standing commitment to honoring America’s veterans by supporting two Honor Flights this April: Villages Honor Flight on April 15 and Honor Flight Central Florida on April 25.

These special missions provide Central Florida veterans with the opportunity to travel to Washington, D.C., to visit the memorials dedicated to their service and sacrifice, many for the first time. The public is invited to join us in welcoming these heroes back home.

Villages Honor Flight – April 15
On Tuesday, April 15, Allegiant Flight #4915 will depart Orlando Sanford International Airport at 6:00 a.m., carrying 153 veterans, guardians, and support staff on the Villages Honor Flight mission. The return flight, Allegiant Flight #4916, is scheduled to arrive back at SFB at 9:00 p.m. (same day), where veterans will be welcomed home with a heartfelt community reception.

Honor Flight Central Florida – April 25
On Saturday, April 25, Allegiant Flight #4900 will depart Orlando Sanford International Airport at 7:00 a.m., carrying 60 veterans plus guardians and support staff on the Honor Flight Central Florida mission. The return flight, Allegiant Flight #4901, is scheduled to arrive back at SFB at 10:00 p.m. (same day), where veterans will be welcomed home with a heartfelt community reception.

The public is welcome to extend their gratitude by welcoming the veterans upon their return in the terminal lobby (1st floor).

A Shared Commitment to Veterans
Aligning with SFB’s core value of being a great ambassador, these Honor Flights reflect SFB’s commitment to community service and respect for those who have served. From an early morning send off to late-night homecoming celebration, airport staff and partners dedicate their time and resources to ensure each veteran is treated with the dignity and gratitude they deserve.

“Our airport is more than a place of travel, it’s a gateway for moments that matter,” said Nicole Martz, President and CEO. “Supporting Honor Flights is one of the most meaningful ways we can say ‘thank you’ to our veterans.”
