Shepherd's Hope Welcomes New Vice President of Philanthropy

Shepherd’s Hope proudly announces the appointment of Kathy Turner as Vice President of Philanthropy starting June 2, 2025. A seasoned fundraising professional known for her passion in building meaningful relationships and creating lasting impact, Turner brings a wealth of experience and dedication to advancing the mission of Shepherd’s Hope.

“It is with great enthusiasm and deep respect for the mission of Shepherd’s Hope that I join the team, committed to raising awareness and support for the critical services they provide,” said Turner.

Turner’s extensive background in nonprofit leadership includes her recent role as Director of Philanthropy at 4Roots Farm Campus in Orlando’s Packing District and as Vice President of Marketing and Development for the Holocaust Center in Maitland. In both positions, she led significant fundraising initiatives, raising more than $32M towards operations, programs, and capital campaign investments, and developed strategic marketing and development plans for continued success.

Prior to that, Turner spent 13 years at AdventHealth Foundation, where she served as Senior Development Officer. Her work there supported a range of initiatives across Celebration Health, AdventHealth for Children, AdventHealth Winter Park, the Transplant Institute, the Neuroscience Institute, and employee giving programs. Most notable among her accomplishments were the openings of the Bartch Transplant House on the Orlando campus and the Nicholson Pavilion at AdventHealth Winter Park.

Turner holds a bachelor's degree in Exercise Science from Ball State University, and a dual master's degree in Health Administration and Business Administration from the University of St. Francis in Joliet, Illinois. She actively volunteers with Grace Church in Maitland and is a proud member of the Citrus Blossom Chapter of the National Charity League.
