U.S. News & World Report, the global authority in health care rankings and ratings, has named AdventHealth Orlando to its 2025-2026 Best Hospitals Honor Roll, a distinction awarded to only 20 hospitals nationwide. That places AdventHealth Orlando in the top 1 percent of hospitals of more than 4,000 in the country, and means Central Floridians can count on world-class care close to home.
In addition, AdventHealth Orlando ranked No. 1 in the state of Florida, as well as No. 1 in Orlando. It’s the 15th consecutive year the hospital has been deemed the best in the area.
AdventHealth Orlando also earned a place among the top 50 hospitals nationwide in 11 clinical specialties and all 22 procedures and conditions. Specialties include: cancer; cardiology, heart vascular surgery; neurology & neurosurgery; obstetrics & gynecology; orthopedics; ear, nose, & throat; diabetes & endocrinology; gastroenterology & GI surgery; pulmonology & lung surgery; geriatrics; and urology.
“These rankings reflect the remarkable care our team and physicians provide every patient, every day – bringing our mission to life through clinical excellence and whole-person care,” said Brian Adams, CEO of AdventHealth’s Central Florida Division. “It’s an honor to be named among America’s best hospitals. I’m grateful for our team’s steadfast commitment to delivering world-class medicine so our neighbors never need to leave Central Florida for care.”
"This recognition is a testament to the relentless pursuit of innovation, compassionate care and the highest standards of medicine that our physicians uphold every day,” said Dr. Victor Herrera, chief clinical officer of AdventHealth’s Central Florida Division. “We’re grateful to our community for entrusting us with their health and well-being. Thank you for allowing us to be your partners in this journey towards wholeness.”
Chief Nursing Officer Cathy Stankiewicz also expressed her appreciation for the 5,000-plus nurses who work at AdventHealth facilities across Central Florida: "Our nurses exemplify professionalism and dedication to advancing the field of nursing and medicine. Their commitment to continuous growth and excellence is unwavering. This recognition highlights the exceptional standards our nursing team upholds every day, ensuring that our patients receive the best possible care.”
The U.S. News honors apply to all of AdventHealth’s Central Florida Division hospitals, which operate under AdventHealth Orlando’s Medicare license.
“For more than three decades, U.S. News has been an invaluable guide for patients,” said Managing Editor and Chief of Health Analysis Ben Harder at U.S. News. “With a ‘Best Hospital’ recognition, Americans, in consultation with their medical providers, can confidently choose a hospital known for providing superior care. U.S. News’ 20 Honor Roll hospitals excel at treating patients across a wide range of specialties, procedures and conditions.”
U.S. News evaluated more than 4,400 hospitals across 15 adult specialties and 22 procedures and conditions. To determine the Best Hospitals, U.S. News analyzed each hospital’s performance based on objective measures such as risk-adjusted mortality rates, preventable complications and level of nursing care. The Best Hospitals Specialty rankings methodology and Procedures & Conditions ratings methodology measure patient outcomes using data from over 800 million records of patient care.
