Universal Epic Universe Marks One Year

Universal Orlando Resort just marked one year since Universal Epic Universe opened in Orlando as the most ambitious and technologically advanced park Comcast NBCUniversal has ever built and the first major U.S. theme park to debut in the last quarter century. 

Already, the park has strengthened Universal Orlando Resort’s position as an economic catalyst for the region and beyond. In its first year of operations, Epic Universe helped drive 12 consecutive months of year-over-year growth in Orange County tourism tax revenue. The park is also expected to have generated $2 billion for the state of Florida and created more than 17,500 jobs nationwide. 

Universal Epic Universe has helped transform Universal Orlando Resort into a weeklong vacation destination, earned industry recognition for its innovative storytelling and delighted guests from across the globe.
