Universal Kids Resort is officially open. Universal Destinations & Experiences’ first regional theme park in Frisco, Texas, specifically designed for young kids ages 3-8, celebrated its grand opening earlier this month.
As a smaller, regional park, this destination was intentionally designed to be different from larger destinations and is part of Universal’s growth strategy to bring the brand to new audiences in new markets.
Celebrating the Community
Nearly 400 children from Boys & Girls Clubs of Collin County, representing communities across North Texas, were among the first to experience Universal Kids Resort during a special sneak peek trip ahead of the park's grand opening.
The visit was part of Universal Destinations & Experiences’ longstanding partnership with Boys & Girls Clubs of America. Universal teams have worked with local Clubs to create memorable experiences for young people, including a special preview of Universal Orlando Resort’s Epic Universe last year.
Creating New Job Opportunities
Universal Kids Resort is generating nearly 1,500 new operational jobs in Frisco, TX. For many members of this new team, the launch of Universal Kids Resort presented a unique opportunity to pivot to the themed entertainment industry.
From healthcare and government service to military communications, new team members are bringing diverse experiences and fresh perspectives to help operate the park.
Team members’ many distinct paths to Universal Kids Resort show that there is no single route to success, only a willingness to embrace new opportunities and create memorable experiences for kids and families.
