Walt Disney World and Boys & Girls Clubs Collaboration Inspires Students Through Disney Dreamers Academy

The Story

As Disney Dreamers Academy approaches its 20th anniversary, Walt Disney World Resort is evolving the program to expand its reach through a new collaboration with Boys & Girls Clubs, empowering even more young people to dream beyond imagination through mentorship, career exploration and transformative experiences in the communities where they live and at Walt Disney World Resort.

☁️ Expanding the Program's Legacy

For nearly two decades, the program has played a meaningful role in shaping

participants' educational and professional journeys. Now, Walt Disney World is

building on that legacy by expanding Disney Dreamers Academy into a year-round, multi-year experience designed to reach students earlier and keep them connected to the program over time. The program will continue reaching students from a wide range of backgrounds, including many of the communities that have long been at the heart of Disney Dreamers Academy.

🐭 Bringing Disney Dreamers Academy to Local Communities

As part of the pilot program, Walt Disney World and participating Boys & Girls Clubs introduced Disney Dreamers Academy to selected students in Orlando, Miami, Atlanta and Houston through a series of community celebrations, bringing magic directly into the Clubhouses that play an important role in students' lives.

The community celebrations marked the beginning of each student's journey as a Disney Dreamer. Through Disney park-inspired activities, opportunities to connect with fellow participants and special moments with Disney characters, students were officially welcomed into the program.

As programming launches in 2027, these Disney Dreamers will continue building confidence, exploring future career paths and connecting with mentors who will help inspire what's possible. Read more here about how students across the country are shaping their futures through Disney Dreamers Academy.
