 A Full-Circle Moment
Also at the heart of the rededication was Abigail, who visited the Wish Lounge in 2011 with her family on her own wish trip. Now a Disney cast member, Abigail helps kids meet their favorite characters and creates the same magic for families that she experienced herself.
Joining Abigail was 6‑year‑old Paxton, a wish kid from Pennsylvania living with a gastrointestinal disorder. Paxton wished to come to Walt Disney World, and Disney Experiences Chairman Thomas Mazloum, Walt Disney World President Jeff Vahle and Abigail teamed up to surprise him and his family with a special moment with his favorite characters: Mickey and Minnie Mouse.
 The Impact of a Wish
A Disney wish is granted every hour of every day. Today, Make‑A‑Wish alumni who are cast members, like Abigail, help support the more than 7,000 wishes granted at Walt Disney World each year, continuing the joy that has touched more than 175,000 children worldwide.
