Welcome Our Newest Trustee: ?Central Florida Expressway Authority

We are always so grateful for the companies and organizations who invest in the Seminole County Chamber to help grow our economy.

Of course, the Central Florida Expressway Authority has invested heavily in our county and our region, helping transform our roadways and infrastructure over the past few decades.

Frankly, our thriving Seminole County economy would not be as successful without the transportation network connecting our region.

"The Central Florida Expressway Authority's impact on all of us is truly tremendous," says Rebekah Arthur, president & CEO, Seminole County Chamber. "When you travel the country and see the state of roadways in other cities, it is remarkable how this organization has kept our region moving."

The Central Florida Expressway Authority is an independent agency of the State of Florida that operates and maintains a regional network of expressways in Brevard, Lake, Orange, Osceola, and Seminole counties. CFX’s 125-centerline mile, user-funded system includes 73 interchanges, 14 mainline toll plazas, 5 mainline gantries, 76 ramp toll plazas and 343 bridges. On average, more than 1.3 million toll transactions are recorded daily, nearly 90 percent of them electronically.

“We are thrilled to be part of the Seminole County Chamber of Commerce,” says Michelle Maikisch, executive director of the Central Florida Expressway Authority. “For decades, CFX has had a hand in connecting and enhancing access throughout Seminole County. Partnering with the Chamber will amplify our efforts to work with the community to drive positive change and build on the high quality of life residents and visitors of Seminole County continue to enjoy.”
