Welcome Your New Chamber Leaders

On June 12, the Seminole County Chamber held its annual meeting, celebrating our chamber's recognition as one of the top chambers of commerce in America.

Being a certified five-star chamber showcases how this chamber is superior in all aspects of a chamber, from finance and facilities to membership growth and government affairs.

A key reason our chamber received this accreditation is because of our leadership, our board and council chairs. Without the support and strength of these individuals, we would not be as successful as we are.

Last night, a new slate of directors was approved by our membership. We also had the opportunity to say thank you to a great group of leaders who are ending their board service this year.

Of course, we couldn't have done this without the stellar leadership from this year's chair, Kelly Rogers of Findsome & Winmore. Your dedication over the years to this chamber is very much appreciated by our board and staff, who have worked with you closely over the past year.

In addition, please thank the following:

  • Lauren Arevalo, AppleOne
  • John Blum, Five-Star Claims Adjusting
  • Norton Bonaparte, City of Sanford
  • Dan Frana, Network in Action
  • Mary Gustafson, One Oak Realty
  • Brendan Jones, Wells Fargo Advisors
  • Rachel Kobb, CFL Public Affairs
  • Andrea Mahoney, Certified Computer Solutions
  • Alena Rivera, EXIT Realty Revolution
  • Diana Sacoto, Sacoto Films Productions

And, now, introducing your new board.

We're going to get a touch of Magic with our new chair, Maritza Martinez-Guerrero, vice president, external affairs & Philanthropy, Orlando Magic. For the past year, she's been there for the chamber as the chair-elect.

Starting July 1, the chair-elect position will be filled by Paul Carland, vice president, public policy and general counsel, Seminole State College. His organization is one of the chamber's longest tenured members, and its impact on our community is unequalled.
