Steve Kelley – Law Enforcement Training Expert

Steve Kelley brings over 40 years of experience as a dedicated law enforcement professional. He began his public service career as a corrections officer and went on to serve more than 20 years with the Orlando Police Department, where he developed extensive expertise in leadership, training, and public safety operations. Following his time in active law enforcement, Steve served as the Assistant Director of the Criminal Justice Institute at Valencia College’s School of Public Safety, a role he held until his retirement in April 2025. There, he played a key role in developing and guiding future law enforcement professionals through advanced education and training programs. Steve now serves as Decision Tactical’s law enforcement training expert, where he continues to make a meaningful impact in law enforcement education and professional development.

 Mike Friedman is the Owner and Head Instructor at Champion Karate and Knockout Fitness in Lake Mary, Florida. A 7th Degree Black Belt in American Kenpo and certified Guro in Pambuan Arnis, Mike brings over 35 years of martial arts experience to his students. A former top-ranked competitor nationally and globally, he now focuses on sharing his Tactical Defense Solutions with organizations across the U.S. and internationally. As co-owner of the Lake Mary Arts & Fitness Center, he is dedicated to promoting martial arts, fitness, and performing arts while remaining actively involved in local charities, Seminole County Schools, and the Chamber of Commerce. Mike’s greatest pride is seeing his students—and especially his son, Carson—grow in discipline, confidence, and strength through the arts.

Join the Business Alliance Council for a monthly Lunch & Learn meeting on the 4th Friday of every month for important information for your business and the Oviedo community. This is another Seminole County Chamber benefit for you to network and connect with area businesses. After the program Rock and Brews Company will be open with happy hour specials for chamber members who would like to stay and network!
