Description
"Campus READ in Partnership with Speaker Series" is sponsored by the Florida Blue Foundation. This partnership event features award-winning author Erin Stewart whose presentation will be based on her book, The Words We Keep. This young adult novel received the prestigious Schneider Family Book Award from the American Library Association for its portrayal of the disability experience and has been lauded for its message about mental health.
Join us for this informative and encouraging talk on using poetry and words to write about tough topics like mental health and how speaking up, connecting and sharing is so important for mental health, and life in general.
This presentation will be held in Seminole State’s Sanford/Lake Mary Campus Library (building UP) and will be streamed online and in the College’s Altamonte Springs Campus and Lee Campus at Oviedo libraries.
Free and open to the public. Learn more at seminolestate.edu/speaker-series.
