Heathrow Women's Club Announces 25th Anniversary & Fall Meeting Schedule This year the Heathrow Women's Club will celebrate 25 years of friendship and service. The Club was founded August 17, 1987, by a few neighborhood women who gathered as friends, and a quarter of a century later we honor what they began – the Heathrow Women's Club. Over the years, the membership has grown to include hundreds of women, perhaps even thousands. A celebratory 25th anniversary program is scheduled for the first meeting of the year on Tuesday, September 11, 2012. Past presidents will be honored and a brief overview of the history of the club will be offered. The celebration will continue throughout the year with a variety of special programs. Heathrow Women's Club is a non-profit, charitable and social club, open to all women in Central Florida. Over the past 25 years, HWC has demonstrated a remarkable ability to bond together to raise nearly one million dollars in donations and services for deserving organizations in the Seminole County. Currently HWC supports the Boys & Girls Club of Central Florida, West Sanford Branch; Seminole County Friends of Abused Children; SafeHouse of Seminole Daycare/After School Program, and Bags of Hope. The Club offers a variety of social activities, including luncheon meetings which are held on the second Tuesday of the month at the Heathrow Country Club, Heathrow, FL. To attend as a guest, advance reservations are required by the Thursday before the meeting. The cost of the luncheon is $21.00.
