Posted: 07/21/2026

About Us:
Armor Up Recovery Homes and Ministries is a faith-based 501(c)(3) nonprofit based in Longwood, FL, providing transitional sober living homes for women recovering from addiction, trauma, homelessness, and human trafficking. We currently operate two recovery homes — Freedom House and Victory House — serving 14 women at a time, and we're working toward opening a third home, Redemption House, to meet the growing need in our community.

Position Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and mission-driven volunteer Treasurer to oversee our organization's financial records, budgeting, and reporting. This is a critical leadership role that supports our 501(c)(3) compliance and helps build the financial credibility we need to grow — including securing grants and funding for our expanding programs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain accurate financial records and oversee bookkeeping
  • Prepare and monitor organizational budgets
  • Provide regular financial reports to leadership and the board
  • Ensure compliance with nonprofit financial and reporting standards
  • Support grant applications with financial documentation as needed
  • Advise leadership on financial best practices and sustainability planning

Qualifications:

  • Background in accounting, bookkeeping, or financial management (nonprofit experience a plus)
  • Familiarity with nonprofit financial compliance and reporting
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Trustworthy, reliable, and able to maintain confidentiality
  • A heart for Armor Up's mission of restoring hope to women in recovery

Time Commitment:
Flexible — this is a volunteer role designed to work around your schedule, with periodic check-ins with leadership.
