Holocaust Center Honors Tony Jenkins on behalf of Florida Blue and the Florida Blue Foundation with the 2023 Tess Wise White Rose Award

Orlando, FL (May 2, 2023) – The Holocaust Memorial Resource and Education Center of Florida (HMREC) honors Florida Blue and the Florida Blue Foundation, led by Central Florida Market President, Tony Jenkins, with the 2023 Tess Wise White Rose Award. The award was presented during the annual White Rose Tribute Event held on April 27, 2023, at the Orlando Science Center. The Tess Wise White Rose Award, created in 1989, honors individuals and organizations who magnify the values of inclusiveness and respect and who demonstrate that through participation we can build a better home for all Central Floridians. This remarkable list of past honorees includes icons such as Nobel laureate Elie Wiesel, and the center’s founder and Holocaust survivor Tess Wise (who passed in October 2022 at age 99).

The White Rose Tribute Event helps raise funds to support the Center’s vital educational programs. Thanks to many generous community leaders, the Center’s programming will continue to expand leading up to the grand opening of the new 43,000-square-foot Holocaust Museum for Hope & Humanity, which will be located on the site of the former Chamber of Commerce building in downtown Orlando.
