IMPOWER is proud to announce it has received a $400,000 matching grant, made possible through legislative funding, to sustain Seminole County’s Juvenile Drug Court and vital substance use services that support the wellbeing of local teenagers.
As the contracted treatment provider for Seminole County’s Juvenile Drug Court, IMPOWER delivers a diversion program for nonviolent juvenile offenders referred by the State Attorney’s Office. Youth participants receive intensive substance use treatment, guidance in developing coping skills, and support with educational and career planning. These services help reduce recidivism and support successful transitions into adulthood. All services are provided at no cost to participants or their families.
The grant was made possible through the leadership of Senator Jason Brodeur and Representative David Smith, whose support was instrumental in securing these critical resources. “These programs transform lives, strengthen families, and create safer communities,” said Anna Kesic, IMPOWER President and CEO. “We are grateful for their commitment, which allows us to continue Inspiring Life’s Potential for local youth.”
IMPOWER provides mental and behavioral health services, residential programs, and prevention initiatives that help individuals and families build skills and create lasting positive change. For more information about IMPOWER and its programs, visit www.impowerfl.org
