Speech Language Pathologist

Engage the Brain is an academic learning center that provides individualized and evidence-based instruction to students of all ages and abilities. We are looking for a qualified and passionate speech/language pathologist to join our team and help our students achieve their academic and communication goals.

As a speech/language pathologist at Engage the Brain, you will:
- Conduct comprehensive assessments and evaluations of students' speech, language, and communication skills
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on students' needs and goals
- Provide direct speech/language therapy or reading intervention services to students in person at our center, at nearby schools, or at students' homes
- Collaborate with other professionals, such as teachers, tutors, psychologists, and occupational therapists, to ensure coordinated and effective service delivery
- Communicate regularly with parents and caregivers about students' progress and recommendations
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of students' records, reports, and billing
- Participate in ongoing professional development and training opportunities

To be considered for this position, you must have:
- A master's degree in speech-language pathology from an accredited program
- A Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) OR a be a Clinical Fellowship (CF) working toward a Certificate of Clinical Competence
- A valid license to practice speech-language pathology in the state of Florida
- Minimum of 12 hours per week, with at least 2 afternoons (3:00 PM - 6:00 PM)
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- A positive attitude and a willingness to think, learn, and grow

Preferred qualifications include:
- Experience working with students with learning disabilities, dyslexia, autism spectrum disorder, or other special needs
- Training in structured literacy approaches, such as Orton-Gillingham, Wilson Reading System, or Lindamood-Bell
- Familiarity with online platforms and tools for tele-therapy
